What we do
Getting the loan approved is not the same as helping you get the decision right.
Before we compare home loans, we work out what this decision actually needs to do for you.
The questions people arrive with
You can be trying to work out a lot at once.
What’s the right way to do this?
What will this mean for my day-to-day life?
Can I even build wealth through property on a normal salary?
How do I use my borrowing capacity without trapping myself later?
Who do I need around me to make this work?
Around the home loan
The picture can get bigger.
You can start with one goal in mind: get the home loan approved and get it done right.
Then other things start to come into it.
Whose name the property should be in. Whether you should speak to an accountant before you buy.
Whether you want help finding the right property or would rather do it yourself. What would happen if work or life changed once the loan was in place.
None of it really feels like the home loan itself. Yet suddenly you’re trying to work out which questions go to which person, and how all of it is meant to fit together.

How we’re paid
Not buried in the fine print.

We charge you a direct fee for developing your strategy using the Hack Foundations, including the lender, product and loan structure that fits your specific goal.
If we then do a loan application on your behalf and it is funded, we also receive commission from the lender.
We donate 8% of the upfront commission to the Zahra Foundation. To help fund specialist financial counselling services for women impacted by family violence.

Okay, but what about…
First homes, next homes, refinances, investment property loans, debt consolidation and purchases using government schemes. If you’re not sure whether yours fits, let’s talk.
Absolutely. Right now, the goal is getting into your first home. We also look at how the loan is set up, what the repayments leave you each month and, if a government scheme helps you get in, whether you qualify and what it means when it’s time to move beyond it.
Yes. If property is part of how you want to build wealth, this purchase needs to leave room for the next one. Imtiyaz is a Qualified Property Investment Adviser, so we can go deeper on structure, cashflow and how today’s lending could affect the portfolio you want to build.
Absolutely. It might be a lower rate, lower repayments or getting equity out for renovations. When equity matters, we can target lenders with valuation policies better suited to your property and what you’re trying to do.
Yes. If the goal is getting several repayments under control, our Financial Reset is the debt consolidation work around that. We also look at what rolling those debts into the home loan does to the loan term, total interest and what you can do next.
Absolutely. A low rate matters. What we often find is that the bigger goal is paying as little interest as possible and getting the home loan paid off sooner, so we look at the rate in that context.
Absolutely, bring it with you. If it still makes sense for what you’re trying to do, we’ll say so. If there’s a trade-off worth seeing or another option that fits better, we’ll explain what we would change and why.
Yes. If you already have an accountant, financial adviser, solicitor or buyer’s agent you trust, they can stay involved. We can work alongside them where the lending connects, and if someone is missing, we can help with an introduction.
That can absolutely be the recommendation. Sometimes getting the decision right means a smaller loan, waiting or not borrowing at all. We’ll explain why, and you decide what you want to do from there.
We’ll tell you. If someone else is better placed to help, we’ll point you in the right direction or help with an introduction where we can. If you’re simply not sure whether we can help, let’s talk.
